The Great Horned Owls are the most common owls in North America. Their tufts of feathers resembles horns or even cat ears, then the name “horned”. In fact, they can be found from the Arctic to South America; however, as they are nocturne animals, it is not easy to spot them during the day. So, you’ll be lucky to see them around.! They are the bird symbol of the Province of Alberta.
